It always makes sense to have certain basics in your closet. Some that can be combined easily, are timeless, and that you will want to wear longtime. So which winterly wardrobe essentials are the ones you should invest in? Here are some of my favorites!
A classic wool coat: Coats are really big this year, but a good quality coat in muted hues, like black, grey or dark blue, is worth an investment anytime. You will get a long wear out of it, it will keep you warm in style and will be suitable for so many occasions. My model is from Drykorn.
A turtleneck jumper: Not only are turtlenecks totally on trend this winter, there’s also a large range of different options, from chunky knit with wide, big turtlenecks (like the one I’m wearing from Zara), to fine cashmere ones, so I think there’s a style for everyone. Another plus: you can skip wearing a scarf when out & about in your turtleneck
A white shirt: You can never ever go wrong with a white shirt, this staple piece should definitely be in every closet! They come in so many styles and shapes, it doesn’t hurt to have more than one actually I love my Boss shirt with extra long cuffs and have worn it lots since I got it this spring.
Black skinny pants: Denim, leather, cotton or – like the one I’m wearing in the pics – velvet, there are so many materials you can opt for when choosing your black skinnies. They go with absolutely everything, and are a total wardrobe essential to me.
Ankle boots: I might have strayed from the classic version here with these absolutely stunning, leopard-print pointed ankle boots from Kennel & Schmenger. But, these boots work well with a lot of my clothes and it makes perfect sense to spice up a classic outfit with these babes. If you want to be on the safe side though, opt for a more versatile colour, like a simple black or grey. Anyways, a pair of beautiful ankle boots shouldn’t be missing from your closet!
