Wang x Haydenshapes surfboards

Posted by August 28, 2014 - Design, LIFESTYLE

There’s no other trendsetting designer like Alexander Wang. Everything he does becomes a trend like lightning – he started the fashion for the sports clothing and black and white minimalistic but edgy pieces.

Lately Wang teamed up with Haydenshapes, which is popular Australian surfboard brand, to fit out his flagship store in New York’s Soho with their new designs. „The summer cage” as he calls it, is a monochromatic installation that consists of black metal cage, swooping black wave sculpted from black sand, Wang’s accessories and obviously five unique surfboards that were handcrafted by Haydenshapes founder Hayden Cox. To create the exceptional designs there were used pictures presenting marble slabs that later were printed on silk and then on boards.

Another proof of the highest quality? They used the award-winning Hypo-Krypto model that’s just pure perfection for surfers!
