Why Naschmarkt? For those of you who live in Vienna, there is no need to say a lot, but for all the others who don’t, Naschmarkt is the place in Vienna where you will find fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful flowers, good food and shops with products from Asia that you will most probably not find somewhere else in Vienna. A walk through Naschmarkt will likely take you to Asia because most of the vendors are not Austrians and you will hear them talking to each other in Turkish or Arabic. It happens that I live close to Naschmarkt, so many times, on my way back home I prefer walking through Naschmarkt instead of taking the metro and have a look at what is happening. There are several flea markets in Vienna but this one is the fanciest and the most centrally situated. That’s why it’s also the most touristic.
Last week, when I visited the Humanic store in Vienna, I didn’t know what to choose because the variety was so vast and I ended up having five different pairs of shoes in front of me and thinking “which one? which one?”. Needless to say, I wanted to buy them all, but you know, in life we can’t have all, so I had to choose. And I chose. The flirty white espadrilles spoke to my heart a little bit more than the other pairs and they had me thinking that they would be ideal for a sunny promenade through Naschmarkt. Because of its color they match with pretty much everything but this time I chose to pair them with a navy style striped blouse, light grey blazer, and blue pants to create a casual, city appropriate look. I wish you nothing but fun with your flirty white espadrilles.
