This week, I spent a couple of days in Budapest. The trip was actually a first short honeymoon as I got married last weekend, and even if there’s no time for a longterm getaway just now (but there will be in March yay!!), we wanted to celebrate that special occasion by at least spending some days together just two by two. The Mister surprised me with a super nice hotel right next to the Danube on the Pest side of the city, and the weather was more than fabulous, to say the least. We’ve had about 28 degrees every day and made use of that by spending every second of the day outdoors.
When I’m on holiday, even if I’m doing a city trip, which requires a more fashionable wardrobe than let’s say a safari, camping or beach holiday, I like to pack smart and not bring too many clothes, but first and foremost not too many shoes and bags, as these items need lots of space in your suitcase, plus they are mighty heavy… and I got to consider the Mister’s back here
Since I’ve checked the weather forecast and already knew that we would be blessed with lots of sunshine, I’ve packed a pair of Supergas and my beloved Birkenstock Arizona slides as footgear. I don’t like schlepping huge bags with me when out & about all day, so I had to bring my mini Furla as the perfect travel companion. Also, I always take a pair of jeans and one or two dresses with me. Colourwise, I stuck with a neutral palette so that I would be able to combine all the shirts and trousers among one another. And for potential chilly evenings, I brought my black leather jacket that goes with literally everything.
So here are some pictures of my traveling outfits!
