My past week has been intense – until last Thursday, Paris Fashion Week was still going on and I managed to hurry from one job to another casting. Unfortunately it was raining also this whole week – my hair looked frizzy but Fashion Week had to go on. In hindsight, I am happy that I have been able to participate in PFW. It might not be as glamorous as you expect, but it’s still worth the experience, because not everyone can do it and you feel that you’re being part of a big team trying to satisfy clients. I managed to get some jobs and found myself later on French Online Vogue – especially one look is now engraved in my mind: My fringe got curled and I looked like a 70ies princess. Not a look I’d wear on a daily basis, but for the show itself, the styling blended in so well.
During these two weeks I spent here in Paris, I met two old friends by accident while doing castings: One is Loha, a french model who I met two years ago in Milan, the other one was Marine, a friend of mine who was my roommate for a month while I was working in LA. The fashion industry is so small that you end up meeting the same people over an over again – doesn’t matter if you’re in Paris, Milan or LA. It makes me happy because I never have the feeling to be all by myself and Paris feels so familiar since I’ve lived here for almost 1,5 years now all together. For today, I had the plan to show you one of my favorite outfits that I can’t wait to get my hands on again this spring: The dark blue balloon skirt makes a simple white t-shirt look fancy, especially combined with black shoes and a blocky heels. They’re the perfect choice for spring, especially when you combine them with a backpack instead of a regular shopper. If I got you in the mood for shopping now, you can find a similar backpack (here or here) and similiar shoes (here or here - I love those!). And you know what? Guess who’s already working on some pictures made in Paris? Yes, exactly – I can’t wait to show you my newest shoe crush, so stay tuned to get your eyes on Paris and the newest collection of shoes you can buy at HUMANIC. Enjoy your week!
xx from Paris,
