If singing and being one of the most well respected and admired voices of the planet was not enough for her, Rihanna jumped into the fashion design world some seasons ago by the hand of Puma. Riri created a huge impact last year with a very Maria Antoinette inspired collection and this years result was once again, amazing. The Barbados native presented the “Fenty University” themed show this time in Paris and it was a blast. The singer took over the sportswear line for Puma some years ago and so far she has succeeded as a creative director.
The collection includes a bunch of very comfortable sneakers and slippers and a lot of green toned items that combined perfectly well with the rest of the colours chosen to be in the FentyxPuma collection this month in Paris. Colours from orange, to yellow and even red where all well present in the set of clothes chosen by the singer. The materials varied a lot and went from simply cotton to wool and a whole list of other very cool fabrics that make the whole collection look very young, college-like and fun to have. Here is a peek of some close ups of the materials that the artist uploaded on her personal social media channel before the show.
However these where only a very little part of what the collection looked like. The signer took over the Bibliothèque Nationale de France to manifest her new Back to School-inspired FW17 collection, transforming the current reading tables into a live catwalk and blending the desk lights, books and what ever was available into her creation. Simply a masterful move!
So with little more to add to this PRO piece of fashion by the one and only Rihanna, here are some snaps of the whole event that took place last week in Paris.
