We are enjoying summer to it’s fullest! While some are lucky enough to go on a vacation somewhere, others spend their summer in the city (which is Vienna in our case). But except for sticky air and lonely streets, spending the hot season in town definitely has its pros! We are specifically talking about the many cool events and clubbings that are staged open air!
So don’t be annoyed by ‘wasting’ your summer, but make to most of it by visiting as much events as possible!
Again, we made a list of our favorite upcoming events in Vienna – and we are sure you will not regret going there..
Tonight, the annual Popfest kicks off at Karlsplatz in Vienna. Until sunday, we get delighted with many concerts and other live performances in front of the famous Karlskirche. Several stages are built up, along with food and drink stands. The atmosphere at the Popfest is very nice and chilled, that’s why it is so popular amongst old and young!

Albert & Tina
“The temporary wednesday club”, powered by the Albertina Museum is held every week on the platform in front of the entrance of the Albertina. Cool drinks can be enjoyed along with electric DJ vibes, just perfect for one or two afterwork drinks.

Ice Cream Festival
Attention, lovers of the frozen, guilty pleasures! The Food Festival has risen up to a next level: For two days, an actual Ice Cream Festival is held in the Burggarten of Vienna! What to expect there: ice cream, ice cream and more ice cream. This is definitely something, we are not going to miss!

FM4 Pop-up Cinema Tour
Apart from the numerous open air cinemas, onetime pop-up cinema, hosted by Radio FM4 is a very special event. The movie is a pre-screening of HOTEL ROCK’N’ROLL, and even more good news for ice cream fans: Ben & Jerry’s is for free from 7 to 10 pm!!! Before showtime you have the opportunity to get some infos (and maybe offer your help) about some charity projects that support refugees to get settled in their new home.
