Pleated Skirts – We Just Can’t Get Enough

Posted by August 1, 2016 - Fashion, LIFESTYLE, Trends

The 50s were very important in fashion and although pleated garments had already hit the fashion world by then, pleated skirts remind us of the 50s fashion and style. Of course this revamp in fashion looks extremely cool if combined with other retro or old school details. Let us show you a bit more about these!

Pleated midi skirts started hitting the streets some time ago and they are only getting cooler and cooler if worn properly, so if you have a pleated skirt stuck in the back of your wardrobe, it is now the now to get it out. We think it is a perfect choice for a casual night in the city, especially if worn with some retro Puma Suedesdon’t you think?

The fact that the length is usually under the knees gives it that very vintage touch that contrasts with our current fashion styles and WE LOVE IT.

It can also be a very adequate outfit choice for a summer day at the office. The fact that it is loose and light makes it perfect for a very warm day, jumping from client meetings to lunches with clients. Pleated skirts have a very elegant and feminine feel that would pretty much, look good on every girl. We love feminine touches in fashion, we think they bring back the elegance that most of our grandmothers had the opportunity to enjoy while their youth.

Having in mind that we are soon entering the fall season and that we are lucky enough to be able to live so many amazing throwback trends like Adidas Gazelles or Puma Suedes, we have collected some ideas of how pleated skirts look on the streets and we will like to finish this post on pleated skirts with the perfect look featuring a pleated skirt as the main character.

A positive point of these midi style skirts is that they can be a perfect choice for the next fall season, since it can be easily combined with several layers or jumpers and sneakers. This outfit certainly reminds us of the awesome Scandinavian style we looked into last week and we cannot wait to get our pleated midi skirt and rock it this next season.
