New York Fashion Week

When September arrives, so does New York fashion week and every single fashion related (or not) spotlight, turns towards it. The New York fashion week opens many doors to new trends and tendencies that will be invading our closets sooner than you think. This event reunites bloggers, editors, designers and many other fashion personalities that will later transmit these new trends to the outside world the best and most creative way they can, wearing them and rocking them.

During the nine days the fashion event lasts, a tone of new trends, combinations, inclinations and materials see the light. The best and most respected names in the current fashion business get to present their creations and they barely fail to impress. Victoria Beckham, left us some beautiful and elegant pieces, Ralph Lauren went straight for a stunning cowboy style and DKNY assured us she has brought the boiler suits of the future, which strongly reminded us of the Ghostbusters movie. Another highlight and top moment of the week was when the Indian model and acid attack survivor Reshma Quereshi opened a show wearing a stunning embroidered long dress by Archana Kochhar’s. The moment was captured by every single photographer and it will always be a peak of this Spring/Summer 2017 fashion week in New York, where clearly; all the dreams are fulfilled.

This falls fashion week was closed by (the one and only) Marc Jacobs and its fashion super powers. His Spring/Summer 2017 collection were put into a show of another planet, which pretty much killed what ever had come before it. He decided to go into the world of subcultures, threat locks and punk style with an astonishing and very impressive staging decoration that represented what to us looked like a street at night, with numerous amounts of lights hanging from the ceiling and some strategic puddles in the middle of the runway that the models had to walked around. We could say that Jacobs put two shows together, the fashion show and the visual show. He is an expert in surprising the world and its guests and followers, but this show was visually on a whole different level.

Here are the highlights of the highlights (if that makes any sense) since it would be impossible to show you everything in one post, there are too many amazing things to choose from.
