I just love to write lists: to do lists, shopping lists, gift lists, basically all type of lists. It feels great to get shit done and cross them out from the list with a pretty red pen. So imagine how excited I get at the end of December when I write my New Year’s resolution list. That’s always a tough one, believe me, 12 months is a long time and obvisiouly so many things can happen. I asked a bit around and had some lovely chats with my friends about their New Year’s deal. Resolutions yay or nay? Some oft hem found it terrible, as they said it would make them upset to see at the end that they didn’t achieve everything they wanted. Some of them were as excited as me and shared with me some of their resolutions. I decided to share my resolutions for 2015 with you, maybe you will find something that attracts your attention and might even go up on your list too. You will be surprised how much easier it is to achieve stuff if you really really want it. And writing it on a resolution list ist he perfect first step. So here a few of my resolutions:
1. Travel back home
The definition of home is a very complicated one in my case, as I was born in one place and then grew up in a lot of other places and finally moved again somewhere else. But in 2015 I am planning to go back home home, which is Moscow in my case. I haven’t been there for a while and I really want to go back in March or April.
2. Sleep more
My sleeping behaviour is weird. I always find excuses to stay up super late, but at the same time I have a hard time to leave the bed in the morning. Of course I don’t have a choice and have to get up to go to work and to… well … live. J In 2015 I want to have more early nights, so that I can wake up fresher in the morning. Apparently it’s also healthier to go to bed before midnight. Let’s give it a try!
3. Spend more time with my family
I don’t live in the same city as my family and sometimes it can be really hard to make sure not to miss any important events such as birthdays and anniversaries. I think I have been doing quite a good job so far, but in 2015 I will try even harder.
4. Try out new recipes
I really enjoy cooking, especially if I can share the dishes with someone else and not eat them by myself. Lack of time is sometimes holding me back from trying out new stuff in the kitchen and I end up cooking the same things. This should change in 2015. I am ready for new home made yummy food.
5. Less phone
Yes, I confess, I am addicted to my phone. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is checking my e-mails on the phone. In 2015 I will try to start the day in a different way and check e-mails when I am actually at work.
I could go on for ages, the list is quite long, but I think it’s enough for now Happy New Year, lovelies!
