Morocco hasn’t only been on my bucket list for years, it has been a big part of my dreams as well. We started planning for this trip last May, and I couldn’t believe that it was actually going to happen until we planted our feet on the Moroccan ground. Our first impression was very good and the weather was just perfect. A man came to the airport to pick us up and bring us to our hotel. I can’t forget when he joked that the hotel was 2 hours from the airport. He was just kidding. On our way from the airport to the hotel, I couldn’t stop looking at the views around me. The city was clean and that dusky pink color of the city left me in awe. I was impressed by the colors of the city, but I was even more impressed when we arrived at our hotel. We had our own Riad, a three floor traditional Moroccan house. The photos in the blog post were taken at the entrance of our Riad a little bit before dinner time in the Moroccan restaurant of the hotel.  We spent five days at our hotel, going from the pool to the restaurant and then back to our Riad. It was our choice to stay in and savor every moment in our Riad.

During my stay in Morocco, I knew I had to be very careful regarding the outfits because this is a modest, conservative country. No mini skirts here. But since we chose to stay in the hotel for the first five days, the options for outfits were not limited and we were free to dress up how we wanted. My choices for Morocco were intense colours and accessories. I matched my golden Vigneron pumps with a mid length electric blue lace dress to achieve a smart outfit for evening wear in Morocco.
