Marsala: What is usually known as an italian wine has now been nominated color of the year 2015 by Pantone Color Institute. Although very similar it must not be confused with Bordeaux, which has a more intense red cast. Beautiful marsala is now emerging in interior design, beauty and fashion. The in-between-color as a mixture of red and brown complements with the earthy and berry nuances that set the tones in fall fashion trends.
Why we love marsala? Because it is elegant, but cool, it works as a total look without being overdone and it suits every type of woman.
“Interesting on its own and a wonderful contrast for other hues, PANTONE 18-1438 Marsala is a winey red-brown that adds finesse and savoir faire. Rich and robust, Marsala incorporates the warmth and richness of a tastefully fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots point to a sophisticated, natural earthiness.”, as Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director at Pantone Color Institute, points out.
The choice as color of the year fell upon marsala because of its appearance everywhere recently. Not surprisingly, also HUMANIC provides a lot of different models in marsala. Fashion designers jumped on the bandwagon as well – see the designs of Rebecca Minkoff, David Hart, ESOSA New York and Ernest Alexander…
