London Fashion Week is super soon! And what is important during this stressful fashion week? Exactly, food! You need to eat well in order to make through the week. We did some research for you and have here some awesome places that you can visit while in London.

Afternoon tea at the Diamond Jubilee Tea Saloon at Fortnum and Mason

Yes, afternoon tea is a must eat in London. There are quite a few places that offer great afternoon tea, but recently we discovered a new one: Afternoon tea at the Jubilee Saloon at Fortnum and Mason. You can choose different types of afternoon teas; we went for the traditional one. The choice of tea is not that easy, as you get offered over 150 different tea blends! And all of them are super tasty (We especially recommend to try out the Cranberry tea or Royal Blend)! If you are coming with kids, you will have the possibility to order a kids afternoon tea. Oh and the most important thing: It’s kind of an “all you can eat” policy. If you didn’t have enough of anything on your plates, just ask for refill. You can get more sandwiches, more sweets and of course more tea without paying extra!

Gelupo

This lovely little Italian café in Soho offers the most delicious cakes and ice cream! As you can see in our photo we couldn’t resist getting 4 desserts for 2 people. We tried the frozen raspberry chocolate cake, affogato, ice cream and sorbet. Everything was more than perfect. The only thing is that this place is quite small and therefore not suitable for large groups.

Amorino

Another place for awesome ice cream! Make sure to add some ice cream macaroon (yes, you heard it right! Macaroons filled with ice cream) to your order, they are super tasty. Amorino has a few different branches around Central London.

Condesa

article30_4

In the mood for some Spanish tapas and great wine? Then Condesa your place! If you are coming for lunch, you should be able to get a table. But is you are a large group or you want to go for dinner, please make sure to make a reservation as this place is not that big but super popular. Their tortilla and filled peppers are our favourites. Oh and go for red wine instead of white. Fits the food better and their choice of Spanish red wines is very well selected.

Home Sliced Pizza

article30_5

Ready for a huuuuuge pizza? Home Sliced Pizza is your place then! And when we say huge, we actually mean huge. This place offers 5 different types of pizza, wine, beer and soft drinks. So basically everything you need to survive. If you want to avoid queuing, then make sure to come on a Saturday around 12 or 12.30 for early lunch.

Café Royal

article30_6

Located super central at Piccadilly Circus. This place offers very tasty sweets and great tea. A little bit pricy though. They also have afternoon tea, but we recommend going for the cream tea. Here you will get a tea of your choice plus 3 scones with clotted cream and jam.

Strada Riverside

article30_7

Fancy a dinner with a breath taking view directly in front of the tower bridge? No need to spend all your savings, there is this great affordable place called Strada that has both an awesome view and food that everyone likes. Please don’t expect a gourmet menu, but the Italian dishes are definitely lovely and the drinks choice is also great.  When making a reservation, make sure to select the right location, Strada has a lot of branches around London. And if you are coming with kids, ask for the kids menu. Your little ones will get 3 courses plus a drink for 7 GBP!

Pierre Herme

article30_8

Yes we all know the Laduree macaroons, but did you ever try the Pierre Herme Macaroons? They have very extraordinary flavours and all of those that we tried were very delicious. Make sure to pass by their place in Covent Garden and have some macaroons take away.
