The new Fall/Winter 2016 campaign by Lacoste is out and it is just stunning. Shot in the beautiful city of Paris, it perfectly matches the brand’s philosophy and the motto of their collection. It pays homage to René Lacoste, founder of the company, and his wife Simone, and their enduring admiring relationship to France’s capital.
The two icons of their time, him being an ace in tennis and winner of multiple tournaments such as The French Open, US Open, Olympic Games and Wimbledon, and her as a professional golf player, appreciated and connected the requires of sportswear with fashion. Thus, their belief in using new technologies for materials and shapes, enhanced the common claim for athletic clothing and shoes.
Aesthetically inspired by the city of Paris, René paved the way for future athletic shoe creations. His nickname, Le crocodile, soon became the brands logo which did not change until today.
This fall/winter collection is a tribute to the very first beginnings of the fashion house. Minimalistic design is what it is known for – therefore it was a must to keep it simple yet beautiful. Have a look at the campaign images below and find your Lacoste shoes at Humanic.
