Nicole Kidman is one of the most promising artists in this year’s festival, since she is featuring in nothing less than four movies and has managed to wow everyone with her performance on “Big Little Lies”. Todd Haynes, Sofia Coppola and Michael Haneke are three of the directors fighting for one of the very beloved Palme d’Ors. The Festival will open with a very local production, directed by Arnaud Desplechin and featuring two of the most well known French actresses – Charlotte Gainsbourg and Marion Cotillard. Weirdly enough, there will be no Hollywood production screening at the Festival this time. Oh, and there will be two Netflix production sneaking into the festival.
