It’s that time of the year again. Time to layer your clothes and before you leave the house, cover your head with something to protect it from wind and rain. I personally love wearing hats, all different sizes and colours! A hat easily turns a simple outfit into something special, and if you go for a rather big model, it gives you a bit of a diva appeal, too – in a good way
When we shot these outfit pics, it was heavily windy so I had to hold on to my floppy hat to keep it from being blown away. Still, I was glad I was wearing it because it started raining later on, and if you don’t have an umbrella on you there’s nothing better than an oversized hat to at least keep your hair and face dry.
I was wearing a white shirt, my beloved leather jacket (that one really is an allrounder) and a feather vest on top of it. It makes sense to layer your clothes in fall, since you never actually know how the weather is going to turn out. By layering, you can adjust your outfit to different conditions during the day, for example take the jacket off and just wear the vest over your shirt or jumper.
I was wearing a lot of black in this outfit, something I tend to do in autumn and winter. You can make monochrome outfits look more interesting by wearing different textures, like combining silk and chunky knits, or velvet and leather. That will give the outfit more depth!
