Last week I was invited to the Vienna Boys Choir ball. Many balls are happening every week, so if you are visiting Vienna, don’t be surprised if you see ladies wearing high heels and long evening gowns, and gentlemen wearing tuxedos, passing by next to you.
The Vienna Boys Choir is not as grand as the other balls I have been before. I would describe it more as a nice intimate event that takes place at Kursalon in Vienna. All the previous times that I’ve been to a glamorous ball, I was always busy with taking pictures and I totally forgot that I was there to have fun. Being at a glamorous ball has always been for me more work than pleasure. So this time, I invited my friends to the ball and it also gave me the chance to put the camera aside and enjoy the ball like all the other guests. We really need more nights like that one. Nights with friends, nights filled with laughter, nights with loud music and disco balls, and nights that make us feel different. Nights like this help us to unwind and forget for a while.
This is a different blog post as you can see from the photos because I am not alone. I’d like to introduce you to my friend Anastacia, who was my guest during the ball. Anastacia chose a black flowing ball gown and black pumps from the Humanic store. As for me, I chose a pastel evening gown that has sequins on the top and I matched it with the prettiest beige pumps from Michael Kors that you can find online at the moment. We both agreed that the colours we picked would look good together in the photos : )
We met at the hair salon two hours before the beginning of the ball to get our hair done. I didn’t have any idea how to style my hair for the ball and so my hair dresser, Rene, recommended that I curl them for a fancy fairytale princess look. I trust him. When we were done with our hair styling, we decided to walk to the venue from the hair salon. The ball began punctually at 21:00. “Alles Walzer!”
