Did you ever wonder what our fashion editors from Trendsylvania usually wear to the office? Well, if so, you are lucky, because today we have something very, very special for you… We recently shot some pictures of our editor Fran’s favorite go-to outfits for a common day at the office. For that, we followed her for a week and captured her in different situations throughout the working days.
As a fashion editor you don’t have to dress in the typical business look, there are no requirements such as suits, shirts or briefcase. In fact it is rather the opposite: ”Working in a creative field, your outfits can be creative and inspiring too, which is one of the things that I love so much about being a fashion editor.”, says Fran. But especially in winter, it is not that easy to always remain on track with being experimental and trying out new styles and combinations. “For that reason I am a huge fan of the layering look. I would wear any of these outfits even on the coldest days – just by adding a kitted cardigan, a wool coat and maybe an extra pair of tights.” Did you become curious? Go ahead and see Fran’s favorite winter looks for the office!
A Week In The Life Of A Fashion Editor
Red Velvet Ankle Boots by Alisha
Jumper and Culottes by mbym (from Turek)
Wednesday, 11 AM
On Wednesday Fran had several appointments, including a press conference, a meeting at the office and a dinner presentation. The denim dress is a good choice for such a day as it’s elegant and stylish. Overkneeboots give a sophisticated touch and jewelry (or a brooch) adds some playfulness to the look.
“In my free time I’m a total chunky-sweater kind of girl. That’s why I like it a bit more dressy for the office – to have alternation and go for different styles.”
Friday, 3 PM
Finally Friday and the working week is almost over! After having lunch with colleagues there are just small errands left to be done.
Vest, Cardigan and Hat are Vintage
After a busy week, a catch-up on friday evening is compulsory, best with friends and drinks!
“I like outfits that are a bit crazy or funny, even when I go for a classic striped shirt. The patchwork denims are a fancy component and the Leopard ankle boots are the cherry on top!”
