Christmas Market In Vienna

christmas market

My life is full of contrasts lately: one day in Dubai (30 degrees) and the other day in Vienna (3 degrees). Last week, when I came back to Vienna, I met my friends for a cup of matcha tea at the historical cafe Landtmann. There I noticed that the Christmas market which is situated in front of the Rathaus is already open. I was quite surprised. And it felt somehow awkward being one day on the beach in Dubai and the other day visiting a Christmas market in Vienna. I am not complaining, I am just saying haha. Christmas is just around the corner, I thought. You can see all the decorations around the streets. The Viennese people do know how to celebrate Christmas, that’s for sure.

Honestly I didn’t know what to wear because I was still in the mood for summer dresses. It was pretty cold in Vienna and raindrops were falling all around me. I made a random pick from my closet: a long beige coat, a pair of blue jeans, my Humanic sneakers and a white beanie on the top to give a finishing touch to the look. It ended up being a cool outfit, don’t you think?

So if you are looking for a Christmassy destination, Vienna is the place to be. If you come here, don’t forget to pop by the Humanic store to check out the latest trends. As for me, you will probably spot me around taking pictures in Vienna but mentally I am still in a swimming costume floating around in the Indian Ocean.
