Berlin has been the city in charge of setting the fashion week alarm off. They might be one of the less prominent fashion weeks, however they always offer an incredible show that leaves New York City shaking on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. This years first fashion week was opened by the magical powers of Dorothee Schumacher offering a range of very chunky looks, layers and open coats that could not have been better.
All the shows up to now offered a variety of colours however, the greenery tone was very present. All the shows up to now consisted in very smart combinations of the new upcoming colour palettes and they all look perfect to us. Many greens, blues, pinks and yellows could be spotted, exactly how we declared it on our 2017 colour palette post.
Other names like Lena Hoschek, Hien Le, Malaikaraiss and Odeeh also had their own moment to shine on the German capitals catwalk and they sure did well. Lena Hoschek bursted into the room with an impressive “Girls just wanna have fun” collection that clearly showed how much fun she had designing this collection. She went for a very playful 80´s style colour palette that she topped up with some tulle looks that looked simply great on the catwalk. Hien Le and Odeeh on the other hand went for a more professional look that sailed through the whole new colour palette according to Pantone. Once again many looks in the green tones could be spotted within many others.
So get yourself a cup of tea and get comfy, because we have collected some of the best looks of the first day at the Berlin Fashion Week for you to have a look a them and enjoy as much as we did going through the newest of collections.
