It’s been a while since we talked about Austrian Fashion. After introducing some very cool local brands and designers in part I and part II, today we are back with the next contribution to our series of Austrian Labels that are worth watching. The five brands that we are presenting this time are very different: From clothes over jewelry to bridal wear – prepare to be excited for what the Austrian fashion industry has to offer!

Anja Lauermann

Fair fashion made in Austria. And on top of that, very chic yet wearable designs. What more could one want? Starting in 2012 already, Anja Lauermann opened her first shop in Stockerau and is by now selling her collections to Vienna, Berlin, Graz and Klagenfurt. On May, 13th she is hosting a party in her shop, celebrating the label’s 5th anniversary.

Designer Evelyn Haddad founded her label just this january, for which she creates beautiful, minimalistic jewelry. The pieces are inspired by orientalism, with a modern-day touch, whereby each collection transmits it’s own message. Everything is produced with high-quality materials in the family-owned manufacture.

If you are looking for a quite unusual wedding dress, ROEE is your label to go for! In their current Bridal/Couture Collection, which is called “Das Finstere Tal” (engl. The Dark Valley), they break with all conventions and show astonishing dresses and men’s costumes, which are not gloomy at all! PS.: They also have a streetwear line!

We Bandits is actually not a fashion label, but we think it’s justifiable to mention it within this category anyway. The Vienna based store is focused on small labels, local designers and sustainable but at the same time affordable fashion. In their assortment you will find unique pieces of clothing, bags and accessories from Korean to Scandinavian brands, Austrian ones included!

The Viennese Designer just recently presented her latest collection at the Take Festival in Vienna. With her fashion she wants to dress and promote strong, characteristic women and so are the clothes. Because of her experimental designs, she is already known as Austria’s Vivienne Westwood.
