We have all been there, we’ve looked to our favorite film for a bit of fashion inspiration. We emanate the styles of our favorite actors and actresses, and I mean why shouldn’t we? They have professional stylists and they always seem to looks so cool. Turns out we are not alone though- fashion designers also draw inspiration from the movies too!
1. “THE LITTLE MERMAID”/BOBBY ABLEY SPRING 2015
With disney characters put on sweatshits- its not the most high fashion, but it is a good way to let out your inner fan side while still looking cool!
2. “THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE” / THOM BROWNE FALL 2014
The Hunger games obviously caught Thom Browne’s eye. with the designer also playing off similar themes as the movie such as female empowerment- this collection makes sense to us.
3. “MUHOLLAND DRIVE” / PRADA FALL 2013
A classic movie for a classic line. This film is shrouded in mystery and eeriness that just screams Prada. The plot might not have made sense for a movie, but it definitely makes sense in this line.
4. “THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL” / ANNA SUI FALL 2014
This movie’s beautiful fashion is enough to inspire anyone and has been for years. Its has rich luxurious style that is bound to bring out anyones inner diva.
5. “VERTIGO” / RALPH LAUREN FALL 2014
A mysterious clean cut Hitchcock film fits Ralph Lauren all too well. This grey pallet is a classic and perfect for a romantic obsession!
6. “VALLEY OF THE DOLLS” / DSQUARED2 FALL 2014
Dsquared2 had a lot of fun with this line. And of course they would from such a glamorous movie like Valley of the Dolls.
